Trishuli Hospital is a 50 bedded provincial hospital situated in the district headquarter- Bidur of Nuwakot. The management of this hospital is supported by the Hospital Development Committee (HDC). Initially established in 2021 B.S. to provide health services to the employees of Nepal Electricity Authority and gradually extended its services to the public and started its services as a health center in 2032 B.S. (1975 A.D.). Initially the hospital delivered its services as a 15 bedded district hospital under District Health Office (DHO) which was then upgraded to 50 bedded hospital in 2069 B.S. Before the mega-earthquake of 25th April 2015, there were 19 blocks in the hospital for providing the preventive, curative and rehabilitative services (especially for Nutrition) to the public. Out of the nineteen blocks, 14 were fully devastated by the earthquake. The remaining three blocks viz. Operation Theatre, MCH clinic and the DOTS center needed minor repair while the other two blocks were partially damaged but standing. Currently hospital is providing its services from the Pre-fabric building constructed after receiving generous aid from German Support to the Health Sector Programme (GIZ S2HSP). By the end of 2076 hospital services will shift into the new building which is under construction with the help of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) .
Besides the Nuwakot district itself, the catchment area of the hospital also covers large area of Rasuwa and Dhading districts with total patient turnover of more 200 per day. The hospital extends in a land area of 13-0-0-2 ropanis with its own land ownership.
